World Percussion Ensemble Performance Tonight

World PercussionThe University of Mississippi World Percussion Ensemble will present a concert of energetic and lyrical percussion works. The concert will feature two percussion choirs in an antiphonal setting. It will also feature three percussion soloists performing “Three Brothers” along with a symphonic percussion group. The freshman percussion quartet will perform “4/4 For Four” on Latin American and symphonic instruments. The newly formed senior and graduate percussion quartet “Vertigo” will perform several works including two ragtime pieces “Ragtime Robin” and “Graceful Ghost”. The program will end with Bela Fleck’s bluegrass hit “Big Country”.
